of the Conservative ticket
(including primary survivors Barraud and Malkmes,
plus Conservatives who had beaten their
Republican running mates).
1975: After the Conservative Party Town Leader (Don Leo)
gave all designations to Republicans,
I organized a petiton drive and primary which denied
cross-endorsement to most of the incumbents
(including Kurt Behme, Alex Proios, Ellen Davis, Robert Reid).
This led to loss of the Republican majority in the election,
and eventually to G.O.P. boss Dick Zeidler's
retirement from active politics.
1975: Walker for County Executive - Libertarian and Conservative petitions, and Conservative primary. (Narrowly lost primary to incumbent John Klein.)
1974: Walker for Assembly (vs. Speaker Perry Duryea
and Joyce Burland):
