1. On the front of the index card, at the top, print your name, last name first.
   • Which side is "front"?
   • Which edge is "top"?
   • Above or below the RED line?
   • Comma after last name? No comma? Does it matter?

2. Next, enter an email address.
   • What does "next" mean?   (Same line?)
   • Does "enter" mean the same as "write" (or "print")?
   • Whose email address is it?

3. Underneath, write your major and the number of credts you have earned (at SCCC or elsewhere).
   • Underneath what? (Underneath the card?)
   • Which definition of "major"?
     My dictionary gives several definitions for "major", including:
     • Of greater importance.
     • Of larger size.
     • Army officer.
     • A person of full legal age.
     • Musical key, mode, or interval.
     • College suject or discipline.
     • Sports usage (e.g. major league).
     • Medical usage.
     • Hearts or Spades - suits in bridge.
   • What does "credts" mean? (How would a computer handle the misspelling?)

4. If you have a job that uses computers, put it at the bottom.
   • Bottom of what?
   • How do you "put" a job on a card?
   • What to do if no such job? (Does "none" indicate a job?)

5. In the upper right corner, add the number of this course.
   • Corner of what?
   • How do you "add" the number? (Does "12 "add" up to "3"?)

6. In the lower right coroner, give today's date.
   • Did you leave enuf room?
   • Does date go on same line?
   • Does day go before month?
   • Does "give" mean the same as "write" (or "print")?
   • How would a computer handle this misspelled word?

7. On the back, state your reasons for taking this course.
   • On whose "back"?!
   • Which definition was used for the word "state"?

8. Also, list any languages in which you have written a working program.
   • Where?
   • Does "list" mean the same as "write" (or "state")?
   • Does "English" count?
