Sign up for a Github account.

Decide which email address you want to use, and choose your GitHub username and password.
- For your GitHub username, you may also use the same name as your college email, followed by a dash and the course number. For example, our sixteenth president might use: LincA16-CST112
- Github usernames are public (but you can pick a different one if you must remain anonymous!)
Go to github.com and click to sign up for a free account.
Enter your GitHub username.
Enter your email address.
Create a secret password, and enter it twice. (Don't forget your password!)
Later, you will receive an email asking you to reply and verify your email address.
Be be sure to send an email to bam@suffolk.li, telling me your real name, your GitHub username, and the email you used (but NOT yout password).
For your convenience, set up a "follow me" by clicking this

Click the buttton to add bam-suffolk,to your follow list.
Fork a Repo, to obtain your next assignment.
Log in to your Github account (if necessary), then click on the number above the word "Followng"
Click my name (or the of Aristotle image) to go to my "bam-suffolk" account.
Select the repository you want (such as "x0, etc.) and click on it.
To obtain your own copy of it, click (You should then see the image at the right!)
You will now have your own repository ("repo") containing these files:
- The assignment in a "READ.ME" file.
- Starter code in a file such as "x0.java"
- (additional files, if necessary.)
Commit your changes and submit a Pull-Request
Click the pencil to make changes to your code.
Use Ctrl-A and Ctrl-C to copy your code, then Ctrl-V to paste it into the Processing PDE.
Make changes in the Processing PDE, test your code, and make sure it compiles correctly.
Use Ctrl-A Ctrl-C to copy your code from the PDE, and Ctrl-A Ctrl-V to paste it back into your Repository.
When you have finished your code changes (or if you want to submit them for comment),
make sure your code compiles properly before submitting it.

Using pull requests

Create a "today" text file in your student folder:
Go to http://suffolk.li and click the link to your class page.
Click on folder with your Lastname. (First letter is Capitalized)
- Username is your Firstname (First letter is Capitalized)
- Password is the last four digits of your student ID number.
You will see a list of all files in your folder; click any file to display it.
Click "$" to access the update scripts.
On the brown page, after reading the warnings, click the UPDATE link.
Under "Create a file", enter todays date as ("Aug28: or "Sep2") and click ".txt".
Type a message (such as "I am here, today").
Click "MODIFY THE FILE" to save your text.
Click "Close this Window".
