Final Report

During my whole semester, I looked for an internship. I have found an internship with ProTechIT in Melville. Throughout the rest of the semester I have been learning many things. Most of what I learned revolving on website design was archaic and old school. However the stuff I have learned during my college years have greatly helped me with website designing. My supervisor had me learn through teaching and videos on what the purpose if of the Domain of the website. I also learned that people use website templates such as Joomla or Wordpress instead of creating a website by scratch. I have learned how to use modules and how to set security on the website. I have been assigned on designing a website for a supervisors friend. Since his friend is a lawyer, he needs a website and will get the website done for free. So he decided that it would be good for me to learn on the job by using Joomla and help create a website for him. It took a while fr me to design it, as I am still doing it till this day, however the amount of experience in website design has increased drastically since the beginning of the course. I am very grateful for this experience that I gained throughout the semester.
