M E M O TO: Prof. BAM FROM: Sean Carroll SUBJECT: Weekly Report DATE: 2017 Mar. 6 Last week I worked approximately 24 hours. In those 24 hours I was responsible for completing a variety of new tasks. One of those new tasks was diagnosing and, if possible, repairing a client's computer that would not start. I used Dell's built-in diagnostic software to diagnose the computer as having a bad hard drive. The computer was not able to be repaired on the spot, as a new hard drive would have to be ordered in order to replace the current one. I learned how to used Dell's built-in diagnostic software during this process. I also learned how to check if a piece of hardware was still under warranty, in order to order a replacement.
