	My journey in locating an internship was anything but easy but with the support and direction of the Professor I was able to use the tools provided to obtain an internship at IDP Consulting, Inc.  Professor Martin, provided resources such as resume presentation, cover letter format and the type of attire one should wear for an interview. Although, I have been in a professional field for the past 15 years, these tools assisted me in reformatting my resume for today’s expectations.
	I interviewed with Robert Koprowski from IDP Consulting on 3/17/2017. The interview went well and they are set to bring me on board.  After going through the clearance process, my scheduled start date was April 10th, 2017. 
	IDP Consulting is a technology managed services and consulting company located in Suffolk County, LI.  It services the SMB market in the LI/NYC areas and are offering an internship which offers practical work experience and an introduction to the multi-faceted world of IT Managed Services.  Working here was a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Managed Services Field.
	Some of the duties and responsibilities were:
•	Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
•	Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software.
•	Perform minor repairs to equipment 
•	Record activities, solutions and other responses to request for service in a ticketing system.
In my first two weeks of internship, I shadowed  the team leader Miguel Gorgulho. Miguel
showed me how to open a ticket using Autotask, Logmein123, Sharepoint and Wiki. Autotask has many working components, which requires those fields to be completed before saving and creating the ticket. The other sites are used to access and/or monitor all of the client’s information such as passwords and server names. This allows them to trouble shoot issues immediately.   

	I truly enjoy working with Miguel and his team of Level 1 Support Engineers. The company itself prides themselves of working together as a team, which is reflected on a daily basis.  The managed services business for technology holds a wealth of information and skills one can learn from. I hope to utilize those skills to the best of my ability and move upward and onward.
