SUBJECT: Monthly Report

As of this week, I've worked at the Town of Islip for 116 hours. This past month I have learned more about the process of creating backups by shadowing the Mainframe Operator. I also learned more about virtual switching, STP, and the Linux Debian OS. During this time I assisted in deploying scanners, and I remoted into a workstation to uninstall a web browser and reinstall a newer version of that web browser from a server. I have also taken inventory, and updated the firmware on a switch from a tftp server. Finally I installed a wireless AP controller using a virtual version of Debian, which was run using VirtualBox.
